An attempt to illegally export livestock has been thwarted at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border

According to the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, an attempt to illegally export sheep was thwarted at the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the border. According to the Border Service, soldiers from the Leilek Border Detachment, together with employees of the State National Security Committee, stopped a vehicle that was attempting to export livestock outside the established checkpoints.

A Volkswagen Crafter cargo vehicle was detained, which contained 36 sheep transported without the necessary veterinary and accompanying documents. The value of the detained livestock is approximately 1 million soms.

During the pursuit, the driver of another vehicle, a SsangYong Rexton Sports, attempted to obstruct the actions of the border guards and facilitate the truck's passage to the border.

As a result of the operation, three citizens suspected of organizing and assisting in the illegal export of livestock were detained; all of them are residents of the Batken region.

The materials of the case have been transferred to the competent authorities for further investigation.
