On March 12, the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported the prevention of an attempt to illegally transport cattle at the border section with Tajikistan.

The incident occurred in the Batken region, near the village of Kara-Bak, in the "Korgoncho" area. The border patrol, carrying out its duties, noticed three unidentified individuals herding three heads of cattle near the state border.

In a prompt response, the border guards were able to seize the cattle; however, the violators attempted to escape. During the pursuit in the Mazar area, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan named S.U.K., born in 2010, was detained. Currently, the search for the remaining two suspects is ongoing, and the relevant authorities have been informed of the situation.

The detained individual and the seized cattle were taken to the unit of the State Border Service for an internal investigation and further procedural actions in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The State Border Service once again reminds that violations of border regulations and attempts to illegally transport goods and animals across the border are subject to liability under the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
