Illegal cattle transfer intercepted at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border
At the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the border, an attempt to illegally transfer cattle was intercepted, as reported by the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.

The incident took place in the Batken region, near the Korgoncho area and the village of Kara-Bak, close to the state border line. A border patrol, while on duty, noticed three unidentified individuals attempting to transport three heads of cattle outside of the established checkpoints.

Border service personnel promptly responded to the situation and seized the cattle. The violators attempted to flee, but during the pursuit in the Mazar area, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, S.U.K., born in 2010, was detained.

Currently, the search for the other two participants in this incident is ongoing. Relevant authorities have been involved in the search operations.

The detained individual and the seized cattle were taken to the unit of the State Border Service for an official investigation and the preparation of necessary procedural documents.

The Border Service reminded that violations of border regulations and attempts to illegally move animals and goods across the state border entail liability in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
