Earlier, the State Tax Service (STS) published a report titled "Oil for Themselves: How Kyrgyzneftegaz Was Ruined," which described possible illegal actions by the company's employees. The investigation indicated that due to the activities of intermediaries and write-offs of raw materials, the organization managed to lose more than 4 billion soms. An analysis of financial operations from 2021 to 2025 revealed three schemes that allowed profits to be siphoned off for the benefit of private entities, possibly linked to the circle of the former head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev.
Among those detained:
- N.N., former chairman of the board of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz," born in 1983;
- A.R., former deputy chairman of the board and director of one of the affiliated companies, born in 1980;
- A.N., director of one of the affiliated companies, born in 1988;
- M.B., former director of an affiliated company, born in 1990.
All detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
