The police officer was caught receiving a sum of 100,000 soms
In the Talas region, employees of the State Committee for National Security detained a senior investigator of the local criminal investigation department, known as T.R.Z., on suspicion of extortion. This was reported in a press release from the General Service.
The investigation revealed that T.R.Z., abusing his official position, had been pressuring citizen T.N.T. for a long time, systematically demanding money from him under the threat of criminal prosecution.
The detention took place on February 21, 2026, during joint operational activities of the State Committee for National Security and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, when T.R.Z. received part of the extorted amount — 100,000 soms.
At the moment, the detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Talas police department, and investigative actions are being conducted to establish the possible involvement of other individuals in this case.
