The senior investigator of the criminal investigation department, T. R. Z., was detained on suspicion of extorting money. According to information provided by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), he repeatedly demanded money from citizens, threatening them with criminal liability.
On February 21, GKNB operatives, in cooperation with the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, detained him when he received part of the extorted amount — 100,000 soms.
During the investigative activities, it was established that the suspect had been pressuring citizen T. N. T. for a long time, demanding money from him and thereby undermining trust in his official status.
At the moment, the detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility (IVS) of the Talas city police. Investigative actions are underway to identify possible accomplices in the crime.
