According to the state committee, the police officer had been extorting money from T.N.T. for a significant period, threatening him with criminal liability.
The suspect was detained on February 21, when he was caught with part of the extorted reward amounting to 100,000 soms.
Currently, the detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Talas police department. An investigation is underway to identify other possible participants in the corruption scheme.
