A police officer from the Jayil District Department of Internal Affairs is accused of extorting a large sum

In the Chui region, an investigator suspected of extortion has been detained at the Jayil District Department of Internal Affairs. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan.

The investigator, police captain Zh.A. Zh., was detained on January 13 as part of a pre-trial investigation under Article 343 "Extortion of a bribe" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. According to preliminary information, he demanded 150,000 soms for terminating a criminal case.
