B.B.I. has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department until April 15 of this year. He is suspected of corrupt actions under Article 336, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Following the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of chairman of the GKNB, significant personnel changes occurred within the agency, resulting in the dismissal of several heads of special service departments. Among those dismissed was Eldar Jakypbekov, who briefly headed the GKNB for Bishkek and previously led the GKNB for the Chui region.
As part of the investigation, an interdepartmental investigative group has been established, involving investigators from the Military Prosecutor's Office, while operational support is provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs staff. In the framework of the criminal case under Article 336, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, Jakypbekov and a staff member of the 6th department of the GKNB, known by the nickname "Pito" — D.S., were arrested.
Later, the press service reported the dismissal of these employees, who are suspected of exceeding their official powers during their tenure.
