According to information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, search operations in the area of the "Boroondu" tract, located in the village of Kyzyl-Oy in the Suusamyr rural district, are ongoing.
The work was temporarily suspended on February 16, but was resumed on February 17.
It is worth reminding that on February 12, 2026, an avalanche covered a man born in 1967, along with his 50 sheep and one horse.
A total of 39 people were sent to the scene, including 24 rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and 15 local residents.
As of February 16, the search efforts have not yielded results, and only 31 animals have been found.
