More than 120 rescuers and local residents are involved in the operation
In the village of Zhulgur, located in the Kara-Kulja district, active searches are underway for a 37-year-old man who was caught under a snow avalanche. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the agency, the search efforts, which began on February 3, involve employees of the operational group of the Emergency Situations Department of the Osh region, 12 rescuers from the Republican Separate Rescue Unit with drones, local rescuers, police officers, and representatives of local authorities, totaling 126 people. Specialized equipment is being used to clear the roads.
The snow avalanche struck the region on January 31. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that warnings about the likelihood of avalanches in the area had previously been issued.
