Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations have begun searching for a person caught in an avalanche in Suusamyr

The incident that occurred on February 12 in the Boroondoo area of the Suusamyr rural district has raised concerns: a snow avalanche covered a 57-year-old man, as well as 50 sheep and a horse. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the instruction from Minister Boobek Azhikeev, 24 specialists from various territorial departments and structures of the agency were dispatched for search and rescue operations at 3:00 AM today.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations will report on the results of the search operations later.
