A man approached the capital's police, stating that since January 2026, his acquaintance has been demanding 5 million soms from him, threatening him with beatings and imprisonment if he refuses to comply with her demands.
A criminal case has been initiated on this fact under Article 208 ("Extortion") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officers arrested the suspect, 19-year-old K.A., while she was receiving 300,000 soms. She has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, an investigation is underway.
