In Bishkek, officers of the Interior Ministry of the October District detained a young woman suspected of extorting a large sum of money. According to preliminary data, she attempted to force a man to give her 5 million soms, threatening him in various ways. This information was provided by the police press service.
A statement was submitted to the investigative authorities by a citizen M.A., who requested measures to be taken against the suspect, known as A. He reported that since January, she had been extorting the specified amount from him, resorting to threats of violence and deprivation of liberty, as well as applying psychological pressure.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 208 "Extortion" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational-search activities, the police identified the suspect, who turned out to be 16-year-old K.A. The girl was detained while attempting to illegally obtain 300,000 soms.
After her detention, she was placed in the temporary detention facility of the capital's Interior Ministry. Investigative actions are ongoing.
