In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, law enforcement agencies have detained a 19-year-old resident suspected of extorting 5 million soms.
According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the October District, the complainant, citizen M.A., reported to the police that since the beginning of the year, the girl had threatened him with violence and deprivation of liberty, applying psychological pressure to obtain a large sum of money.
In accordance with these circumstances, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to extortion.
During operational activities, law enforcement officers identified the suspect — K.A., born in 2007. She was detained while receiving 300,000 soms. Currently, the detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
