President Sadyr Japarov clarified his words regarding the recent dismissal of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Deputy Prime Minister and head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). According to him, the expression about preventing a split in society did not directly concern Tashiev. This information was announced by the president's press secretary Askhat Alagozov.

The head of state also added that certain individuals, such as Bekbolot Talgarbekov and Emilbek Uzakbaev, used Tashiev's name to appeal to the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and representatives of the intelligentsia, inciting them to various actions.

“They said: switch to the side of the general, sign this, let’s do it this way. Their actions created a risk of a negative situation in society, including among high-ranking officials,” noted Sadyr Japarov.

He emphasized that his initial comment about Tashiev had been distorted or misinterpreted by some people.

It became known the day before that President Japarov and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu received a collective appeal requesting the immediate initiation of new presidential elections. This statement was signed by 75 individuals, including scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.

One of the initiators of this appeal was public figure Bekbolot Talgarbekov, who told "Azattyk" that disputes over the presidential term could lead to instability, which other political forces could exploit. He noted that the authorities should take the initiative and schedule elections for June or July.

Today, a decree was published by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on the early termination of Kamchybek Tashiev's powers as Deputy Prime Minister and head of the GKNB. Sadyr Japarov explained his decision as necessary for strengthening the unity of the state and preventing a split in society.
