Today, February 11, in the early morning hours, police officers began visiting the addresses of a number of the 75 signatories. One of them is public figure Bekbolot Talgarbekov, who has already been taken to the police station. It is worth noting that he was mentioned in President Sadyr Japarov's comments about the importance of "strengthening unity and preventing division in society."
Some of the signatories are already at the Main Department of Criminal Investigation.
At the same time, it should be noted that most of the signatories were summoned for questioning as part of the initiated criminal case, but searches and forceful actions against them are not being conducted.
We also remind you that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting chairman of the SCNS.
Earlier, an open letter was issued by 75 politicians, including current and former officials, as well as representatives from culture and healthcare, proposing the holding of early elections.
