Bekbolot Talgarbekov, a well-known public figure, has been detained by law enforcement agencies. His son, Arstan Talgarbekov, reported this to the publication 24.kg.
According to Arstan, police officers arrived at his father's apartment in the 8th microdistrict of Bishkek for a morning search. After conducting investigative actions, they took him for questioning at the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The son of the detainee clarified that three law enforcement officers were with his father, and some of them remained in the apartment to continue procedural actions.
Arstan also noted that all 75 signatories of the appeal initiated by his father are being called for questioning.
At the same time, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied the information about the detention and search provided by Arstan.
It is worth reminding that Bekbolot Talgarbekov was one of the initiators of a collective appeal calling for the immediate holding of new presidential elections. The document was signed by 75 representatives of the scientific community, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.
Previously, the president's press secretary stated that Sadyr Japarov's words about the inadmissibility of division referred not only to Kamchybek Tashiev but also to figures like Bekbolot Talgarbekov and Emilbek Uzakbaev.
