The suspects extorted money
In the Osh region, investigators from the Internal Affairs Departments of the Kara-Suu and Aravan districts were detained in a case of extortion. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to the investigation, an investigator from the Kara-Suu district, police captain "O.G.O.", extorted 3,000 US dollars from citizen "K.u.O.", using his official powers for personal gain. At the time of the extortion, there was already a refusal material regarding "K.u.O." in a fraud case, registered in December 2024.
Acting as an intermediary between "O.G.O." and "K.u.O." was police captain "S.N.S.", an investigator from the Aravan district's Internal Affairs Department.
Operatives from the SVR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained "O.G.O." and "S.N.S." at the moment they received 1,600 dollars. They are currently placed in a temporary detention facility.
