In the Osh region, operational actions led to the detention of investigators from the Kara-Suu and Aravan districts, accused of extortion.
According to information provided by the Committee, during special activities aimed at identifying corruption crimes in law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan, employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) established the fact of extortion of 3,000 US dollars by an investigator from the village of Nariman in the Kara-Suu district, police captain O.G.O.
It was found that O.G.O., using his official position, demanded from K.u.O. the sum of 3,000 US dollars. At that time, K.u.O. had a refusal material on a case that was registered in December 2024 regarding fraud.
A mediator in this scheme was another investigator, police captain S.N.S. from the Aravan district Internal Affairs Department.
As a result of joint actions with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, O.G.O. and S.N.S. were detained while receiving 1,600 US dollars and placed in the GKNB pre-trial detention center in accordance with Articles 96 and 97 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
