
According to preliminary data, no citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were injured or killed as a result of the train accident in Spain. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, citing information from the relevant authorities in Spain.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Kyrgyz embassy had not received any requests for assistance from its citizens regarding the incident.
Currently, the ministry and the Kyrgyz embassy in France continue to interact with the Spanish authorities to monitor the situation.
It is worth recalling that on January 18, 2026, a train disaster occurred near the settlement of Adamus in southern Spain, where two high-speed passenger trains collided. As a result of the tragedy, at least 39 people were killed, and more than 120 were injured.
