In Thailand, a boat collided with a fishing vessel. Among the injured are Kyrgyz nationals.

In the Thai city of Phuket, an accident occurred in which the sightseeing boat Korawich Marine 888 collided with a fishing vessel. In this tragedy, 55 people were injured, including citizens of Kyrgyzstan, reports TASS, citing the words of the Russian Consul General in Thailand, Egor Ivanov.

According to preliminary data, there were 33 Russians on board the boat, as well as citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and several other countries. Unfortunately, as a result of the injuries sustained, a Russian citizen born in 2008 has died, Ivanov added.

According to information from the publication, the operator Korawich Marine 888 was conducting excursion trips for Russian-speaking tourists in the budget segment, which negatively affects the quality of service. It is noted that boats from this company have previously been involved in accidents.

The incident occurred on the morning of January 11. An investigation is currently underway.
