Collision of Vessels in Thailand: Condition of Kyrgyz Citizens Satisfactory

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has reacted to the incident involving the collision of the tourist boat Korawich Marine 888 and a fishing vessel off the coast of Phuket.

According to the MFA, 55 people were injured as a result of the accident. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Malaysia, along with the honorary consul in Thailand, conducted a check of the passenger lists and confirmed that there were two citizens of Kyrgyzstan on board.

Diplomats established direct contact with the Kyrgyz citizens to clarify the details of the incident and assess their health.

According to official statements, the citizens of Kyrgyzstan did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident. Their condition is assessed as satisfactory, and they declined hospitalization and medical assistance.

The embassy continues to monitor the situation and maintains contact with the victims. The return of the two Kyrgyz citizens to their homeland is scheduled for January 15, 2026.
