On March 17, 2026, 4 million 200 thousand juvenile sturgeon were released into Lake Son-Kul, with an average weight of 0.30 grams.
The stocking was carried out in accordance with the plan for 2025–2026, which was developed by the Department of the Fishery Complex of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan.
The stocking commission included employees of the "Son-Kul Fishery," the deputy head, and representatives of the Karatal-Japyrik State Reserve, as well as journalists from UTRK Naryn.
These activities are aimed at increasing fish stocks in the water body, maintaining ecological balance, and sustainable development of the fishery.
