- During the meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration, the draft law "On the Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Border Crossing Points dated December 25, 2003" was considered, which was signed on August 22, 2025, in Bishkek.

The report was presented by the head of the State Border Service, Abdikarim Alimbaev.

According to him, the proposed changes concern the status of the border crossing points "Tömönkü-Chüy-automobile" (known as "Kamyshevka-automobile") and "Kichi-Kapka-automobile," which are planned to be transitioned from a bilateral to a multilateral (international) regime. Additionally, the border crossing point "Tömönkü-Chüy-automobile" will operate around the clock instead of limited hours.

"The need to change the status of these border crossing points is explained by the necessity to create comfortable conditions for the development of tourism, increase in freight and passenger flows, and improvement of infrastructure," emphasized Abdikarim Alimbaev.
