The Housing Complex adopted a bill regarding the change of status of border crossing points with Kazakhstan in the first reading.
The speaker on this issue was the Chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Abdikarim Alimbaev.
In his speech, he emphasized that the bill proposes changes in the status of the border points "Tömönkü-Chüy-road" ("Kamyshanovka-road") and "Kichi-Kapka-road," converting them from bilateral to multilateral (international) status, as well as changing the operating mode of the border crossing point "Tömönkü-Chüy-road" from daytime to round-the-clock.
According to Abdikarim Alimbaev, the need to change the status of these border points is related to the goal of creating more favorable conditions for the development of tourism, increasing cargo and passenger flows, attracting foreign tourists, and improving infrastructure in this sector.
