As already mentioned, the arrest of Tilek Abdykalykov was the result of a petition submitted by the head of the Investigative Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office, which was approved by the Pervomaisky District Court. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that he was charged with corrupt activities under the law.
Information about Tilek Abdykalykov in open sources is quite limited. After the abolition of the Anti-Corruption Service, the functions of combating corruption were transferred to the 6th Main Department.
It is worth noting that after the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of chairman of the GKNB, several employees of the agency were also detained. Among them were Eldar Zhakypbekov, former head of the GKNB Main Department for Bishkek, Berdibek Boronbaev, former head of the investigative department of the GKNB for the Chui region, as well as Sydyk Duyshembiev, who had close ties with Zhakypbekov. Additionally, Aibek Tashmatov, director of the Republican Sports College and also considered close to Zhakypbekov, was detained. All the mentioned individuals were charged under the same article "Corruption" of the Criminal Code.
