Since February 10, after the acceptance of unit No. 2, dismantling work has begun. These works are being carried out without breaks from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM every day. Even during the celebration of the Chinese New Year on February 16-17, the team continued working overtime.
Dismantling is being carried out at an intensified pace
On February 16, the procedure for dismantling and lifting the generator rotor was successfully completed. Currently, specialists are disassembling the rotor and stator of the generator.
According to the established schedule, the following is planned in the near future:
- to complete the dismantling of the generator by February 22;
- to proceed with the dismantling of the turbine at the end of February – beginning of March;
- the complete finish of all dismantling work on hydro unit No. 2 is expected in early March.
At the moment, there are no delays from the schedule.
In parallel with the dismantling, work is underway to prepare new equipment. The stator of the new generator for unit No. 2 has been fully assembled at the installation site and has successfully passed electrical tests, while the rotor of the generator is already 50% assembled.
