The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a new Decree that amends the structure of state bodies, based on Articles 70 and 71 of the Constitution. According to this document, the changes also affect the Cabinet of Ministers.
In particular, the Decree "On the Structure and Composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic," adopted on October 12, 2021, under number 425, will be amended as follows:
1. In the first paragraph:
- The sixth paragraph will be revised as follows: "– Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic;".
- A new paragraph will also be added: "– State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.".
2. The Border Service, which was previously part of the State Committee for National Security, will become an independent State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to:
- Align its decisions with this Decree;
- Take necessary measures arising from the provisions of the Decree.
This Decree comes into force from the moment of its official publication.
