According to information from the president's press service, Sadyr Japarov signed a decree that transforms the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security into an independent State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. This decision was made in accordance with the Constitution and the constitutional law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."
The document also makes changes to the previously approved structure and composition of the Cabinet of Ministers. In particular, it clarifies that the chairman of the State Committee for National Security remains in his position, while the new State Border Service is now included in the list of Cabinet structures.
According to the decree, the Border Service of the GKNB is separated and becomes an independent state structure.
The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to align its decisions with the new decree and take the necessary measures for its implementation.
The decree comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
