To launch the production, necessary equipment was acquired with the support of the Sokuluk District State Development Fund.
According to the ministry, the cake obtained during the processing of safflower will be used as feed for livestock.
As per the Ministry of Agriculture, the average yield of safflower is 1 ton per hectare; however, with adherence to agronomic standards, it is possible to achieve up to 5 tons. The oil yield can reach 40%.
In the lower territory of the Sokuluk district, there are about 50,000 hectares of agricultural land, of which approximately half consists of rain-fed lands. In the past, wheat and barley were primarily cultivated here.
In the future, there are plans to increase the area under safflower, attract farmers and dehkans to its cultivation, and provide them with modern seeds and equipment.
