In Kyrgyzstan, it is planned to create a "Post Bank" based on the state company "Kyrgyzpost"
This bank intends to offer basic banking services, following the agency model in accordance with the current legislative norms and rules of the NB KR.
The financial regulator plans to evaluate the submitted documents according to established rules and within the timeframes stipulated by law.
The license will be issued based on the results of a comprehensive review of the submitted materials, including compliance with minimum capital requirements and other criteria necessary for the establishment of a bank.
In 2025, the National Bank has already issued permits for the opening of six new commercial banks: JSC "Berekete Bank," JSC "Alma Finance Bank," JSC "Muras Bank," JSC "Asman Bank," and JSC "Kylım Bank."
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the KR dated April 8, 2022, No. 203, "Kyrgyzpost" was transformed into a joint-stock company, with 100% of the shares remaining in state ownership.
Based on the postal offices, a network of branches of JSC "Kyrgyzpost" was created, and a unified management system for all regional postal communication structures was implemented, based on common principles of accounting, tax, and management accounting. Currently, JSC "Kyrgyzpost" operates as a strategic entity, ensuring full self-sufficiency and offering the population important postal and financial services.
