The old cattle market in the Jayil district is in a deplorable state. A new one will be built.

Azamat Osmonov, the authorized representative of the president in the Chui region, conducted an inspection of the livestock market in the Jayil district. The press service of the representative office reported his dissatisfaction following the visit.

During the inspection, it was found that the market does not meet sanitary, veterinary, and infrastructure standards, which significantly complicates the maintenance and sale of agricultural animals.

The condition of the territory was found to be unsatisfactory: there are no elements necessary for compliance with veterinary norms, as well as basic sanitary and living conditions, including drainage and water diversion systems. These shortcomings pose a threat to both animal health and the population.

The livestock market operates on a commercial basis; however, the modernization of infrastructure and bringing the facility in line with standards have not been carried out.

Osmonov also visited an alternative land plot where the construction of a new livestock market is planned. Project plans have already been developed, which provide for the creation of a modern facility that complies with all necessary sanitary, veterinary, and technical requirements. While awaiting the completion of construction, a temporary trading area with minimal conditions and veterinary control will be organized on this site.

The existing market will continue to operate until the new facility is put into operation, in order to avoid disruptions in trade and ensure a smooth transition to the new format of the livestock market.
