According to the agency, Akunbekov will continue work on five key areas initiated by the previous minister Bakyt Torobaev:
Irrigation and provision of clean water;
Seeds, seedlings, livestock breeding, and veterinary medicine;
Cooperation, processing, logistics, and mechanization (MTS);
Export and import of agricultural products;
Science, education, experience exchange, and training.
Also at the meeting, the First Deputy Minister Zhanibek Kerimaliev presented information about the current activities of the agency, while Deputy Minister Mirbek Duyshiev discussed crediting programs in agriculture.
"Currently, 9 projects of state financial support for the agro-industrial complex are being implemented, totaling 13 billion 180 million soms," the agency added.
