In his new position, Akunbekov will be responsible for issues related to water policy, support for farmers, development of processing, and implementation of state programs in the agricultural sector.
The new official is 42 years old and hails from Osh. He received his education at Osh State University and the Moscow State University of Management.
Erlist Akunbekov is a private entrepreneur and heads the agro-industrial company ATS-Group. He also leads the Association of Fertilizer Suppliers.
In recent years, he has been actively engaged in cooperation with farming enterprises, implementing modern management methods in the agro-industrial complex and supporting domestic producers. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman of the Association for the Development of the Agricultural Sector of Kyrgyzstan.
