In his opinion, the main reason for this is the lack of irrigation water.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev commented on the situation, noting that active work is being carried out to clean reservoirs in the Panfilov district, and there are plans to construct a new reservoir in Kara-Balta.
He added that the ministry is making efforts to ensure stable water supply for irrigation in the Chui region.
During the meeting, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities in 2026 was also discussed.
