The Head of the Cabinet summarized the socio-economic development of Bishkek for the year 2025
First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baigonchokov shared the results of Bishkek's socio-economic development over the past year.
In 2025, the socio-economic development of Bishkek was carried out within the framework of state and municipal programs, taking into account the ongoing ADB initiatives. The main areas of the city hall's activities were ensuring sustainable economic growth, attracting investments, and developing infrastructure, as well as improving the efficiency of municipal management in the context of the city's expanding territory.
As for key macroeconomic indicators, according to the National Statistical Committee, growth over the past 5 years amounted to 300%. By the end of 2024, the gross regional product of Bishkek reached 744.0 billion soms, demonstrating a growth rate of 115.8%.
The volume of industrial production also showed significant growth, increasing 3.6 times over 5 years. In 2025, industrial enterprises in Bishkek produced goods worth 130.4 billion soms, with a physical volume index of 123.1%. A key project contributing to industrial development was "100 Industrial Enterprises - 2025," under which 6 new enterprises were opened.
The market services sector also demonstrated positive dynamics, increasing 5.4 times over the past 5 years. The volume of market services in Bishkek for 2025 amounted to 1 trillion 879 billion 238.3 million soms, with a growth rate of 114.5% compared to the previous year.
The consumer price index, reflecting the level of inflation, was 107.8% in 2025 compared to 2024. In the context of increasing market activity, the city hall paid special attention to price stability and the protection of citizens' interests. In this context, 461 raids were conducted to monitor prices on meat products with the participation of the antimonopoly service and other authorities.
The construction sector in 2025 also showed significant growth, which is an important indicator of investment activity. The volume of gross construction output increased 2.3 times over 5 years and amounted to 143.5 billion soms, which is 19.7% more compared to the previous year.
The average monthly salary in Bishkek increased 2.4 times over the past 5 years and from January to November 2025 amounted to 54,672.9 soms, increasing by 24.4% compared to the same period in 2024.
