

The dynamics of Bishkek's budget over the past five years shows a significant increase — by 22.1 billion soms, which is equivalent to a growth of 3.6 times. This data was presented by the first deputy mayor, Mirlanbek Baigonchokov, at the final meeting of the city administration.
In his speech, he noted that such results indicate a solid strengthening of the revenue base and an increase in the financial capabilities of the local budget. By the end of 2025, the actual revenues of the city budget amounted to 30.6 billion soms, which exceeds the revised plan by 3.8%, or 1.1 billion soms.
Tax revenues amounted to 20,363.1 million soms, which is 105.4% more than the planned figure, and this is 1,036.6 million soms more than expected. Compared to 2024, actual tax revenues increased by 122.5%, reaching 16,626.0 million soms, which is 3,737.1 million soms more than the previous year.
In addition, non-tax revenues amounted to 2.9 billion soms, while targeted transfers reached 7.3 billion soms.
It is worth noting that the final meeting of the Bishkek city administration's board, dedicated to the socio-economic development of the city in 2025 and the tasks for 2026, took place today at the "Tunguch" theater under the leadership of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
