
At the meeting, the First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baigonchokov presented the results of Bishkek's socio-economic development for the year 2025.
The socio-economic development of Bishkek in 2025 was carried out in accordance with various state and municipal programs, as well as taking into account the activities of the ADB. The main goal of the city hall was to ensure sustainable economic growth, attract investments, develop infrastructure, and improve management efficiency in the context of the city's expansion.
According to the National Statistical Committee, key macroeconomic indicators show that growth has tripled over the past 5 years. In 2024, the gross regional product of Bishkek amounted to 744 billion soms with a growth rate of 115.8%.
The volume of industrial production increased by 3.6 times over the past 5 years. In 2025, the city's enterprises produced industrial goods worth 130.4 billion soms, with a physical volume index of 123.1%. The project "100 Industrial Enterprises - 2025" became an important element in developing industrial potential, within which 6 new enterprises were opened.
The service sector also demonstrated steady growth, increasing by 5.4 times over the past 5 years. The volume of market services provided in Bishkek in 2025 amounted to 1 trillion 879 billion 238.3 million soms, which is 114.5% more compared to the previous year.
The consumer price index, reflecting the level of inflation, was 107.8% in 2025 compared to 2024. In the context of increased market activity, the city hall paid special attention to price control and protecting citizens' interests, conducting 461 raids to monitor prices on meat products with the participation of the antimonopoly service and other agencies.
The construction sector also showed significant growth, which is an important indicator of investment activity. The volume of gross construction output increased by 2.3 times over the past 5 years and amounted to 143.5 billion soms in 2025, which is 19.7% more than last year.
The average salary in Bishkek increased by 2.4 times over the past 5 years and amounted to 54,672.9 soms from January to November 2025, increasing by 24.4% compared to the same period in 2024.
The minimum subsistence level also increased by 169.4% over the past 5 years, reaching 8,984.12 soms per person in 2025, which is 10% higher than in 2024.
As of January 1, 2026, the number of officially registered unemployed decreased to 962 people compared to 2020, which is a reduction of 2,847 people over the past 5 years.
