These checks are conducted in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, which was issued on August 7, 2025, under number 140 and pertains to temporary state regulation of prices for meat products, including beef and lamb (boneless).
The monitoring is carried out at markets such as TRC "Osh Bazaars," "Orto-Sai," "Alamedin," "Dordoy," "Aziz," as well as in retail chains "Market," "Globus," "Asia," and other stores.
During the control process, explanatory conversations are held with sellers regarding the prohibition of unjustified price increases and the necessity to adhere to the established maximum retail prices. Special attention is paid to ensuring that the price of beef and lamb does not exceed 680 soms per kilogram," the official statement said.
Additionally, as part of improving the situation, possibilities for expanding the trade of meat products at socially acceptable prices are being considered. This includes allocating trading spaces without intermediaries and opening additional sales points.
The city administration also noted that as part of this initiative, the administrations of Sverdlovsky, Pervomaisky, Leninsky, and Oktyabrsky districts, together with representatives of the antimonopoly service, veterinary service, and tax authorities, conducted raids and monitoring at markets and retail points in the capital.
