During the period of meat price regulation in Kyrgyzstan, 129 fines were imposed totaling 506.5 thousand soms, - Antimonopoly Service
Fines are imposed on both individuals and legal entities: 3 thousand soms for citizens and 13 thousand soms for organizations.
The distribution of fines by region is as follows: Bishkek — 16, Naryn — 16, Karakol — 9, Talas — 2, Osh city — 29, Manas — 14, Batken — 14, Osh region — 29.
“Since the introduction of price regulation, territorial divisions have been activated to monitor prices and conduct explanatory work. In case of exceeding the established limits, penalty measures are applied,” noted Muratbek Imankulov.
Background
Temporary state regulation of meat prices (beef and lamb, excluding boneless) was introduced by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce from August 11, 2025, for a period of 90 days, according to information from the ministry's press service.
On November 17, 2025, an online meeting was held with the participation of representatives from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, city administrations, local state administrations, and market leaders.
As a result of the discussion, it was decided to extend the temporary state regulation of prices for beef and lamb (excluding meat) in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic until December 31, 2025.
