Asian Cup (U-23): How did Kyrgyzstan and Jordan play previously? Results

Today, January 12, the Kyrgyzstan U-23 national football team will play its third match in the Asian Cup taking place in Saudi Arabia.

Our footballers will face the Jordanian team, with the match scheduled to start at 22:30 Bishkek time.

After the first two matches, Jordan has 3 points, placing them second in Group A, while Kyrgyzstan is in fourth place with zero points. The Kyrgyz team has a chance to advance to the playoffs, but they need to win against Jordan by a margin of two goals and also hope for a victory from Vietnam over Saudi Arabia.

At the Olympic team level, Kyrgyzstan and Jordan have met three times.

The first match took place at the 2014 Asian Games in Korea, where the teams faced off in the Round of 16. The regular time ended without goals, and in extra time, the Jordanians scored twice, winning 2-0.

The following year, both teams were placed in the same group in the qualifying tournament for the Asian Cup held in Al Ain (UAE). In that match, the Kyrgyz team suffered a heavy defeat, losing 0-4.

In 2019, Kyrgyzstan and Jordan met again in the qualifying round for the Asian Cup, which took place in Kuwait. In the second round, the Jordanians won 3-0, with one of the goals scored by Musa Al-Tamari, who is now one of the leaders of the Jordanian national team.
