Asian Cup (U-23): Kyrgyzstan takes 3rd place after the first round. Table

The youth team of Kyrgyzstan in football (U-23) finished the first round of the group stage of the Asian Cup, taking place in Saudi Arabia, in third place in Group A.

On January 6, the Kyrgyzstan national team faced the tournament hosts — the Saudi Arabian team, and unfortunately lost with a score of 0:1. The key moment of the match occurred in the 88th minute when the Kyrgyz conceded the only goal. Additionally, from the 34th minute, the Kyrgyz team played with a numerical disadvantage, and in the 77th minute, goalkeeper Kurmanbek Nurlanbekov successfully saved a penalty.

In another match, Vietnam secured a confident victory over Jordan, winning 2:0.

At the moment, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia each have 3 points, while Kyrgyzstan and Jordan have zero points.

According to the results of the group stage, the two best teams will qualify for the playoffs.

The next matches of the second round in the group will take place on January 9, where Kyrgyzstan will face Vietnam.
