A traffic accident involving a serviceman occurred in the Leilek district of the Batken region, reported the State Border Service.

The incident happened on April 4 at 08:30 when servicemen from the Leilek Border Detachment, heading to the "Kairagach" post, were in a service vehicle, a UAZ-Pickup. During the journey along the Ak-Suu — Razakov highway, Private N.D.N., born in 2004, fell out of the back of the vehicle.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was severe jolting on the mountain road, which caused the serviceman to lose consciousness.

An ambulance crew was called to the scene of the accident. After providing first aid, the injured was taken to the intensive care unit of the Leilek District Hospital. On the same day, a specialized team of doctors from Osh arrived at the hospital and performed emergency surgery.

Currently, the condition of the injured is assessed as stable but serious, and he is receiving full medical care.

The Border Service noted that if necessary, the injured could be transported to Bishkek, but this would only be possible after his condition stabilizes according to medical indications.

As part of cooperation with the Ministry of Health, a neurosurgeon has been sent to the Leilek District Hospital for further treatment and consultations. Continuous monitoring of the patient's condition has also been organized.

An operational group has been established to investigate the incident, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Border Service. A service investigation is underway to clarify all circumstances of the incident.
