On April 4, an accident occurred in Batken, resulting in serious injuries to a conscript soldier. This was reported by the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information provided, a group of border guards from the Leilek detachment was heading to the "Kairagach" outpost to carry out their official duties.
Approximately at 08:30, an incident occurred on the Ak-Suu – Razakov highway, involving the fall of Private N.D.N., born in 2004, from the back of a service vehicle "UAZ-Pickup." According to preliminary reports, the cause of the fall was strong vibrations caused by traveling on a mountain road. As a result, the soldier lost consciousness.
An ambulance was promptly called to the scene. After providing first aid, the private was immediately hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Leilek District Hospital. On the same day, an emergency operation was performed by a specialized team of doctors who arrived from Osh.
“The condition of the injured is assessed as seriously stable, and he is receiving the necessary medical assistance. Despite the availability of resources to transport the soldier to Bishkek, this is not possible for medical reasons until a stable condition is achieved,” the statement said.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Health, an experienced neurosurgeon has been sent to the Leilek hospital for further treatment and consultations.
An operational group has also been established under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of the State Border Service and other competent authorities, and a service investigation has been initiated to clarify all the circumstances and causes of the incident. The situation is under control.
