At a press conference, the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Boobek Salimzhanov, reported that as a result of the campaign for the free replacement of indefinite driver's licenses, the country's budget lost approximately 350 million soms. During this time, around 378,000 new licenses were issued to citizens free of charge.
The campaign, which started on January 15 and ended on March 31, provided citizens the opportunity to replace their indefinite licenses without payment. From April 1, the replacement process will become paid.
Additionally, as Salimzhanov noted, until the end of 2026, holders of indefinite licenses will be able to exchange their licenses without providing a medical certificate in the form of 083. For drivers with temporary licenses, the document exchange will be carried out according to the standard procedure.
According to the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, such a campaign significantly simplified the process of replacing driver's licenses and made it more accessible for citizens across the country.
