A criminal case has been initiated regarding corruption in 'Kyrgyzneftegaz'

A criminal case regarding corruption in the company "Kyrgyzneftegaz" has been initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The relevant information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Media outlets have released video materials prepared by the State Tax Service, which reveal details of the investigation titled "Oil for Themselves: How 'Kyrgyzneftegaz' Was Ruined."

According to the presented data, company employees abused their official positions by colluding with a number of related firms to organize illegal schemes for the sale and distribution of fuel and lubricants (F&L). Officials, aware of the strategic importance of "Kyrgyzneftegaz," which is a fully state-owned enterprise, acted contrary to their official duties, instead of facilitating its effective functioning in the interests of society and the state.

Against the backdrop of rising prices for F&L in the country, they did not take the necessary measures to stabilize the situation. Instead, officials entered into preliminary collusion with unidentified representatives of state bodies that exercise control in this area. This led to the creation of favorable conditions for the activities of certain related companies that sought to gain illegal financial benefits, including through tax evasion and other mandatory payments.

The investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, investigative actions are being conducted with the involvement of specialists from the State Tax Service, aimed at a comprehensive and objective investigation of the situation, as well as the identification and prosecution of those responsible.
