Recent video materials from the investigation by the State Tax Service, titled "Oil for Their Own: How Kyrgyzneftegaz Was Ruined," revealed information about possible illegal actions by officials of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz." Company employees, abusing their official position, in collaboration with certain companies, organized illegal schemes for the sale and distribution of fuel and lubricants.
According to data obtained during the investigation, it was established that the officials, aware that OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" is a strategic entity and is fully state-owned, neglected their duties aimed at ensuring the effective operation of the company in the interests of the state and society.
Against the backdrop of rising fuel prices in the country, instead of taking measures to stabilize the situation, they conspired with unidentified representatives of government agencies responsible for oversight in this area. This led to the creation of conditions that facilitated the illegal activities of certain affiliated companies, which profited by evading taxes and other mandatory payments.
In connection with the above, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for by Article 336 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Corruption").
Currently, necessary investigative actions are being conducted with the involvement of specialists from the State Tax Service, aimed at a comprehensive and objective investigation of the circumstances of the case, as well as identifying and holding those responsible accountable under criminal law.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has initiated a criminal case regarding corruption at OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz," which first appeared on the K-News website.
