The Eastern bus station, located in Bishkek, is now back on the municipality's balance sheet. Previously, this plot of land was used by the company OsOO "Union of Drivers" for organizing parking for various brands of cars.
According to the press service of the city hall, the territory was used without paying rent to the city budget.
Currently, the city hall has carried out the necessary measures to reclaim the plot. OsOO "Union of Drivers" has provided guarantees for the demolition of the installed structures within three days.
At the moment, the area is being cleared of vehicles and the dismantling of fences is underway.
In the future, a complete reconstruction of the Eastern bus station is planned. It will be adapted for the operation of taxis and minibuses heading to Kemin, Kant, and Tokmok.
As part of the upcoming project, the area will be fully paved, outdoor lighting will be installed, road markings will be applied, and necessary traffic signs will be placed.
