The southern side of the bridge is planned to open by the end of March
According to information from the press service of the city administration, in Bishkek, due to improved weather conditions, the northern side of the bridge on Jibek-Jolu Avenue will be opened for traffic this weekend.
Previously, the width of the bridge was 9 meters, but after the reconstruction, it has increased to 13 meters on the northern side.
As a result, the total width of the bridge is now 34.3 meters, and the length is 25 meters.
The city administration noted that traffic will be organized on the expanded northern side, while the southern side of the bridge is expected to open by the end of March.
